  PLURALS

Help Us Create, an easier English

We have established nine essential areas that must be changed to make English a more acceptable and easier language to learn and use. See below Area 10.

We have thousands of business executives from hundreds of corporations that have agreed to learn and use Lingojam, once it launches.

All of those ready to learn Lingojam are non-English and non-American business people and so we instigate 'Area 10,' which states its objective of making Lingojam more attractive and familiar to the non-Anglo people who will learn and use it.

LINGOJAM IMPROVEMENT

PROBLEM -- So many things make learning English difficult and confusing. Its grammar structure, its spelling, meanings and rules that contradict existing rules are difficult to master.

It just makes no sense!

One of the reasons why English is known for being difficult is because it’s full of contradictions.

  • There is no ham in hamburger.

  • Neither is there any apple nor pine in pineapple.

  • If teachers taught, why didn’t preachers praught?

  • “Overlook” and “oversee” have opposite meanings, while “look” and “see” mean the same thing.

Lingojam, a sensible approach to learning an easier English!

Lingojam is very easy to pick up if your native tongue is English. It takes just a few hours of study to become familiar with most of the changes. Face it, the changes make it simpler, not more difficult.

WARNING

Once you've learnt Lingojam, you may find it hard to write 'correct' but awkward English again.

Note: 'simpler' in this statement, means easy to follow and brings a smile to everyone's face the first time round.

And 'correct' in this statement, means chaotic, crazy and idiotic.

'TH'

There are nine changes that have been made to English, to produce an easier English that be can be acquired by anyone around the world, with less stress, less confusion, and much less embarrassment due to inability to speak correctly.

Lingojam is overseen and developed by members of the Lingojam movement.

CHANGE ONE - 'th' x 2

The 2 hard to say 'th' sounds are eliminated and replaced with 'd' as in 'the' and 't' as in 'thought.'

examples

CHANGE TWO - plurals fixed

Plurals are gone, per se. If you want to show a plural noun, just add 'mas' as a separate word after the noun. examples

CHANGE 3A -  8 new vowels

English has only 5 vowel characters but 13 unique vowel sounds. The new ones needed are created here.

examples

CHANGE 3B - 'ng' 'ngg' 'q' sounds

The 'ing' sound in ring has its own character, as does the hard 'g' of finger. The 'qu' changes to just 'q' with the same sound.

examples

CHANGE 3C - new consonants

The new consonants are 'ch' -  called chee, 'sh' - called shee, and  'zh' - called zhay.

examples

CHANGE 3D - 8 diphthongs

There are 8 diphthongs in English but there are a multitude of ways to spell them. That is gone, now each diphthong has its own unique character.

examples

CHANGE FOUR - articles (et al) ... determiners, and quantifiers

The use of articles (et al) offer little benefit to understanding BUT their confusing set of rules fluster learners to despair.

Major languages lacking articles (et al) are Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Korean. Finnish, Estonian, Karelian, and Sami do not have any articles. In fact, no Finno/Ugric language has articles, except Hungarian.

  ANNOYING PROBLEM

In current English, there are 11 distinct rules for making regular plural nouns and a set of rules for irregular nouns; these rules can't be easily remembered

SOURCE:
www.grammarly.com/blog/plural-nouns/

Be aware that the Lingojam 'e' and the diphthong 'B' look quite similar. The Lingojam sound heard in 'beer' 'near' or 'fear' = 'bB' / 'fB' / 'nB' has a short lead-in line, on its left side.

SOLUTION: Do away with all of these rules and introduce one single rule which fits all nouns regular and irregular.

 1     SINGULAR - cat

       PLURAL - cats (add 's')

siIgyElE - cat

pluurEl - cat-iz
