Using your time carefully is an important consideration.

You only have so many hours available each day and each week, so it is a good plan to know what actions are essential and what actions produce income in the end-picture.

The first thing you have to do, in this section, is to watch the video by Mike Vestil and yes, you may think he's just a young 'wanna-be' and yes he is BUT the thing is, he is a successful and rich Upwork Operator.

He understands as we do, that YOU do not have to be the person who's completing the projects. Your job is to 'woo' the clients. Excuse the word 'woo' but just for now can't think of another word that explains so well.

The client has to be satisfied with you and confident you can do the job for him to his satisfaction. Your job is to convince him of this fact.

Watch John Vestil's two videos now.

When you've done that please refer to the notes below.

You have to let the numbers work for you and not against you. If a client has already received say, 20 offers to do the work for him and then your offer arrives as number 21, it is very unlikely he will even open it to read it.

So limit the offers you make according to how many previously offer have been received. Watch this short video (at right); or better yet, watch the full video, which is under it.

As a rule you may have to send in 10 to 15 proposals to secure just one job. If you know this you can prepare for it and then it becomes simply routine. Keep in mind that your quality of proposals and cover letter has to be the best always.
